The smart storage project perfectly fits with the company's operational mission of "Environmental Protection, Energy Saving, Love the Earth".
At the beginning of the project, we made full use of the characteristics of smart storage, successfully integrated clean rooms and general environments to create efficient automated storage solutions
 
In terms of storage design, 1F is designed as general environment, which can provide manual input and output, while 2F is a dust-free clean room. There are 20 storage pallets inside the smart storage, and a single plate can bear 300kg
Before the introduction of the smart storage system, workers need to frequently wear and remove clean clothes, each trip takes tens of minutes, and production line personnel need to spend time dealing with material preparation problems, which seriously affects operational efficiency and productivity
Through careful planning and design, we set up two opposite inlet and outlet ports between 1F and 2F, and comprehensively upgraded the internal parts and sheet metal of the storage to dust-free level
Air shower doors were added to the 1F inlet and outlet ports to ensure that the automatic storage system maintains a dust-free standard
For inlet and outlet operations on 1F, the workers only need to scan the barcode, and the system will display the correct position of the material through the LED screen. After the material is placed according to the instructions, the storage system will automatically store the material, which optimizes the process of inlet and outlet operations and make it efficient, simple, and reduce mistakes
We plan the unmanned logistics in the operation area of the 2F clean room. When the WMS gives the order, the storage system will move the pallet of the material to the 2F outlet port, and then the clamping mechanism will transfer the material from the pallet to the material lifting platform, and then the lifting platform will accurately put the material into the double-decker unmanned vehicle at the client’s end through the power roller and push rod, then the unmanned vehicle will automatically send the material to the production line. There is no need for manual intervention during the whole process, which greatly improves storing and logistics delivery operations
This smart storage project greatly optimizes the storage and logistics operation process, further realizes energy saving and carbon reduction, smart management and unmanned operation, comprehensively improves the efficiency of the production process, and sets a new standard for future smart storage and automatic storage solutions
 
 
 
Challenges before introducing smart storage
The materials are stored on 1F, the production line is on 2F, as the materials need to be taken on site, workers need to travel between floors frequently
 
Accessing the clean room requires workers to wear clean clothes and go through the air shower door for purification, the process is complicated and takes a lot of time
 
The traditional iron rack storage management of materials is not only inconvenient to access, but also easy to have mistakes, and has other problems such as untimely information update, affecting production efficiency
 
The traditional storage method takes up a lot of space, and it is difficult to make effective use of the storage floor
Rely on manual logistics, which leads to waste of time, high labor costs, and lack of automation and smart management
 
 
Advantages after introducing smart storage
Cross-floor intelligent storage design integrates the 1F material storage and the 2F moving lines, greatly improve logistics efficiency, and have smart storage and management features
 
Smart storage is upgraded to a dust-free level, the materials will first go through the air shower door for purification from the general environment before entering the storage, which avoids pollution of the production area. Workers do not need to frequently wear and remove dust-free clothing, which greatly optimize the production process
 
The upper-flow system of the client gives commands, and an LED display screen is added at the exit of the storage to guide the operator to the correct position of the material, which avoids manual access errors and improves the accuracy and automation level
 
Vertical storage design allows stacking upward, which maximizes storage space utilization, improves efficiency and greatly save plane space3
 
Smart warehousing and delivery of unmanned vehicles reduce labor demand, improve work efficiency, and enable workers to focus on higher-value production tasks to further improve output value
